Stoked you’re stoked! Also: I’m pretty sure we did record our own raps. If I find them, by the time they make it to tabloids, they’ll have creepy beats under them.

straightouttastafford:

My Kickstarter reward for backing Lenorable’s “The Prince EP” finally showed up!

These DC-dwelling, Poe-loving, lovebirds really put together some great music. Also, Ian, I love the card. I completely forgot about the Kriss Kross tapes. If I ever dig those up, I’ll hang on to them for when you’re famous and I can sell them to a tabloid for mega dollars.

Tomorrow night we’re playing a show in DC (see poster for details duh) to benefit the Washington Animal Rescue League.
Since tomorrow is also Record Store Day 2012, and so far we haven’t gotten our record into any stores, we’ll sweeten the deal:we will donate half of our merch proceeds from tomorrow to WARL as well.
Come out, let’s make this awesome.

I often find some bands remind me of Siouxsie and the Banshees and in particular, their great album “Kaleidoscope”, but rarely has anything sounded like quality outtakes from that album.

The vocals are a little bit edgier here, subtle but edge is there. The drums are heavy on an electronic high pitched snare, but that guitar and bass work dance around like McGeough and Severin did so well, so many years ago.

But this is not merely a retro release by this DC duo. The sounds are fresh and the vocals chilling.

The themes are Poe-based which is highly appropriate for their style. I liked “Ligeia” which manages to sound thick while keeping some distinct space between the instruments. over six and three quarters minutes. This three-song ep […] is well worth a listen.

Thanks everyone who came to Black Cat last night, especially those of you who bought a record. You are all supermen/women and with your powers combined… something something.

(If you missed the show but want an album, you can order it here.)

So, Will from Dangerosa is doing some non-permanent promo art for our record release show this Tuesday (8pm at Black Cat). If you’re around DC (U Street, Bloomingdale, Shaw areas) and you see one, snap a photo and tag us or share it with us!
